Members can earn up to 140 status credits on ground activities, roll over up to 50% of status credits required for the tier, but, simultaneously, there will no longer be fewer tier credits required for renewals.

Excess Status Credit Rollover
Elite members can roll over up to 50% of surplus Status Credits earned above their retention requirement into the next membership year:
- Silver:Capped at 100 Status Credits
- Gold:Capped at 350 Status Credits
- Platinum / Platinum One:Capped at 500 Status Credits
Status Credits On-the-Ground
Qantas has designated 10 on-the-ground categories, and members can earn up to 140 Status Credits in any given membership year from these activities.
Members can earn up to 10 to 20 Status Credits for each of these categories:
- Credit Cards
- Banking and home loans
- Insurance
- Car
- Home utilities
- Hotels & accomodation
- Holidays & experiences
- Everyday shopping
- Retail and lifestyle

Jetstar Classic Upgrades
From early December, members can use their Qantas points to upgrade their Jetstar flights.
Status Credits for Award Flights
Select Qantas credit card will allow members to earn Status Credits on Classic Reward bookings from later this year.
Qantas has not disclosed which credit card this is, and will release more information in due course.

Qantas already disclosed back in February that they will end the difference in the number of Status Credits required to reach and retain the tiers:
**Silver:** 300 Status Credits to qualify and retain (up from 250 to retain)

Platinum (Oneworld Emerald): 1,400 Status Credits to qualify and retain (up from 1,200 to retain)
