Revolut to Open First Branded Lounge in Copenhagen; Aer Lingus Expands Starlink; Qatar Airways Rolls Out Business-Light Fares

Revolut will launch its inaugural branded airport lounge at Copenhagen Airport in 2027, operating alongside Plaza Premium Group. Aer Lingus says its entire long-haul fleet will be equipped with Starlink satellite Wi-Fi by year-end, with transatlantic flights already at 85 % usage. Revolut is set to debut its first branded airport lounge in the Schengen area of Copenhagen Airport, slated for opening in 2027. The lounge will be the largest non-airline facility at the airport and will be run in partnership with Plaza Premium Group, which also finances the project. While the exact benefits for Revolut customers remain unclear, the arrangement appears to be a naming-rights deal similar to the Turkish Airlines-branded lounge at Edinburgh Airport.

Aer Lingus is accelerating its rollout of Starlink satellite Wi-Fi across its fleet. The airline launched its first Starlink-equipped aircraft in March 2026 and now aims to have the entire long-haul fleet fitted by the end of the year. Its transatlantic routes from Shannon are already fully equipped, with the carrier reporting that 85 % of passengers on those flights connect to Starlink, generating up to 950 GB of data per flight - roughly the bandwidth needed to stream 300 hours of HD video.

Qatar Airways has introduced a series of Business-Light fares aimed at reviving passenger numbers. The fares are advertised as low-cost business-class tickets, though they do not include lounge access unless the traveler holds oneworld status.
