Lighthouse Launches Ernest AI Teammate for Hotel Commercial Teams
Lighthouse's Ernest, an AI teammate for hotel commercial teams, is now generally available worldwide. The tool uses proprietary hospitality data to automate competitive analysis and reporting for revenue management.

Ernest, the AI teammate for hotel commercial teams developed by Lighthouse, is now generally available. The launch follows four months of successful initial deployments with hotel groups.
Lighthouse first launched Ernest in June. It is designed as a specialized AI assistant for revenue and commercial teams in the hotel industry. The Denver-based travel technology company is now offering it to hotel groups, chains, and management companies worldwide.
How Ernest works in hotel operations
Ernest applies frontier AI models to Lighthouse's live, governed hospitality data. This includes real-time competitive set, pick-up, and demand data monitored across more than 80,000 hotels. The AI prepares competitive analysis, forecasts, and management-ready reports overnight based on a schedule set by the team.
It works across Lighthouse's entire ecosystem of hospitality data, connectors, skills, and workflows. The goal is to help revenue and commercial teams turn vast amounts of data into actionable decisions with less manual effort.
Why Ernest differs from generic AI tools
Lighthouse emphasizes that Ernest's value comes from deep integration with hotel-specific systems, not only the AI model. The company argues that wiring a generic AI model into a hotel's systems represents only about 10% of the required work.
According to Lighthouse, the remaining 90% involves maintaining connections, data definitions, and security as hotel systems and policies change. Ernest's key difference is the proprietary hospitality data it can reason over, combined with skills developed by Lighthouse's technology experts.
Early adopters report strong results and ease of use
Ernest is already in daily use at Viceroy Hotel Group, Stonebridge, and Maine Course Hospitality Group. Customer feedback highlights its rapid integration into existing workflows.
Samantha Claridge, Revenue Manager at Maine Course Hospitality Group, said, "What impressed us most was how quickly Ernest understood our business, from Group Displacement to forecasting and budgeting."
Jeff Hinkle, VP of Revenue Management at Stonebridge, noted that hotel commercial teams have more data than ever, but it often requires significant manual work to synthesize into strategy. Lighthouse Chief Executive Sean Fitzpatrick stated the customer response over the last four months has been incredible, with teams moving past hype to see real return on investment.
Ernest scales with customer needs and global reach
The first four months of deployments helped build a standard library of skills, connectors, and routines now available to all customers. This library covers foundational tasks and allows Ernest to learn organization-specific details with each new deployment.
Individual organizations can configure Ernest around their own properties, portfolios, and ways of working. Hotel groups can use Ernest independently or alongside a team of specialist AI agents called a "Lighthouse Crew." The tool's capabilities are continually guided by Lighthouse's hospitality expertise and shaped by team needs in production.
The general availability launch comes amid growing competition to establish how AI will be used across hotel revenue management and commercial strategy. Ernest is now being extended beyond initial customer deployments with general availability.
