Bulgari Hotel Tokyo Blends Italian Luxury with Japanese Service
The 98-room Bulgari Hotel Tokyo opened in 2023 on the upper floors of the Tokyo Midtown Yaesu skyscraper, offering luxury accommodations, a vast spa, and a Michelin-starred restaurant, though it does not participate in Marriott Bonvoy.

The Bulgari Hotel Tokyo opened in 2023 as a 98-room luxury property situated on floors 40 through 45 of the Tokyo Midtown Yaesu skyscraper in Chuo City. It is within walking distance of Ginza, the Imperial Palace, and Tokyo Station, providing central access for travelers seeking a premium urban stay.
Accommodations and room details
Nearly half of the hotel's 98 guest rooms and suites are categorized as deluxe rooms. A deluxe king room measures 603 square feet. One such room, 4103 on the 41st floor, includes an entryway with a bathroom and closet to the left and the main living space straight ahead. The room features a king-size bed with six large pillows.
Spa, fitness and wellness facilities
The hotel's spa spans over 19,000 square feet. It includes nine treatment rooms, two of which are for couples, and an 82-foot indoor pool. The spa is open daily from 7AM to 10PM. A 24/7 gym on the 40th floor offers cardio and strength training equipment from Technogym, along with heavy weights.
Dining and lounges
Il Ristorante Niko Romito holds one Michelin star and serves as the hotel's signature Italian restaurant. Its operating hours are breakfast from 7AM to 10:30AM, lunch from 12PM to 2:30PM, and dinner from 6PM to 9PM. Breakfast is included for all guests and is available 24/7 via room service at no extra cost. The Bulgari Lounge is open daily from 10AM until 9:30PM, while the adjacent bar serves drinks, light bites, and pizzas. For a Japanese culinary experience, Sushi Hoseki offers an eight-seat omakase service for lunch and dinner.
Service, design and booking
The hotel's entrance is discreetly located within the Tokyo Midtown Yaesu building. The main lobby is on the 40th floor, accessed via a dedicated escort from the ground level. This lobby features a striking marble wall, a bellmen desk, and extensive art. The reception and concierge are situated to the side. The hotel conducts in-room check-in, where staff process passports and credit cards directly in the guest room. Hallways on guest floors are noted for their high design quality.
Although the Bulgari brand is affiliated with Marriott, its hotels operate outside the Marriott Bonvoy loyalty program. Members cannot earn or redeem points or use elite benefits here. For added value, the reviewer said: "The best way to book a stay at any Bulgari property is through a travel advisor affiliated with the Marriott STARS program." Such bookings can provide perks like complimentary breakfast, a potential room upgrade, and a hotel credit.
The reviewer considers the Bulgari Tokyo to be among the brand's newest properties and believes it is the best to date. "I think the Bulgari Tokyo is an excellent hotel, and I think it’s definitely a contender for being among the city’s best," they said.
