Delta Air Lines will launch its re-imagined Delta One service with new menus, tableware, and amenity kits on long-haul flights from Los Angeles in November. This marks the carrier's largest investment to date in its flagship business class product, with a full global expansion planned for 2027. The redesign spans thousands of touchpoints and is informed by two decades of customer insights, according to Delta’s SVP of Brand Experience, Kristen Manion Taylor.

The culinary program, developed by Delta's in-house team with consulting chefs, introduces regionally inspired dishes. Example entrees include a Wagyu beef burger, roasted sea bass, braised lamb, and beef short rib. A rich, seasonally rotating wild mushroom risotto is also featured. The iconic dessert cart receives upgraded options, including a classic sundae with new chocolate sauce and a dairy-free sorbet paired with an optional Champagne Taittinger float. A new Napa Valley-inspired fruit and cheese plate rounds out the offerings.

Delta is expanding its wine program in partnership with Master Sommelier Andrea Robinson and SkyMiles customers. The selection will include Napa favorites, international labels from France, Spain and New Zealand, and a continued partnership with Champagne Taittinger. New spirits include Blanton’s single-barrel bourbon, while DASSAI 45 Sake will be served on flights to and from Tokyo-Haneda. A new cocktail and mocktail menu features interpretations of the Paloma and Hugo Spritz.

Updated Tableware and Amenity Offerings

Delta is introducing brand new tableware for Delta One, the first revamp since the suite product launched in 2017. The designs feature Delta's own 'widget' logo, departing from the previous Alessi partnership. A new 'Sip & Settle' service begins with a brass charger plate presenting a welcome drink, hot towel, and nuts after takeoff.

The existing partnership with Italian fashion house Missoni continues with updated winter amenity kits. The new bag uses a zig-zag woven fabric inspired by Missoni’s Winter Elsewhere collection and contains Grown Alchemist skincare, a Marvis dental kit, and Missoni-branded comfort items like an eye mask. A new Missoni mini pillow debuts on long-haul flights, while slippers and mattress pads remain. The Delta x Bombas sock partnership also returns on select flights.

Aircraft and Cabin Experience Upgrades

The service overhaul coincides with the arrival of new aircraft. Delta will start flying its new flagship Airbus A350-1000s next year. These jets feature a second-generation Delta One suite with a door and a herringbone layout, a shift from the current staggered configuration. These new suites will only be on newly delivered aircraft; existing Delta One seats will continue on other planes.

Digital and service enhancements accompany the hardware changes. Next-generation seatback screens and improved digital experiences raise onboard entertainment. Expanded pre-select meal options now include gluten-free and lighter-fare choices, with entrée selection available 18 hours before departure-six hours closer to takeoff than before.

Delta has also confirmed the expansion of its Porsche airport-transfer fleet from 40 to 70 hybrid vehicles across 15 airports and hubs by 2028. The initial launch of the new Delta One service will begin on long-haul flights from Los Angeles this fall, with a wider roll-out planned for early 2027 across the global network.
