Hyatt has launched a limited-time promotion that awards one Tier-Qualifying Night credit for every $1,000 spent on eligible food and beverage purchases at participating Asia-Pacific properties. This is the first time the hotel group has directly linked dining expenditure to elite status progression, offering members a new pathway to earn up to ten qualifying nights without a hotel stay.

The promotion runs from October 27, 2026, to December 18, 2026. Members can earn a maximum of ten credits, meaning a total dining spend of $10,000 is required to reach the cap. Credits are posted to accounts within two to three weeks after qualifying purchases and will apply to a member's 2026 elite status qualification, even if issued in 2027.

Eligibility and participation rules

World of Hyatt members must register for the offer, which may appear in the Hyatt mobile app, during the promotion period. Eligible purchases are limited to direct food and beverage spending at participating hotels and resorts in Mainland China, India, South Korea, Australia, Japan, Hong Kong, and Singapore. Room charges, corporate billing, point redemptions, and gift card payments are explicitly excluded. Members must provide their loyalty number and a valid ID at the time of purchase.

Hyatt states that participation of specific outlets and properties is not guaranteed. The company reserves the right to modify or cancel the promotion at any time without notice.

Practical considerations for earning credits

The high spend threshold makes this promotion most relevant for members with substantial planned dining expenses, such as for large parties or corporate events. For an individual traveler, spending $1,000 on dining for a single elite night credit represents a significant investment. The promotion's value is further limited by a cap of ten credits per member.

For context, Hyatt elite status tiers provide benefits like room upgrades, late checkout, and complimentary breakfast. This promotion offers a novel, if costly, method to accelerate toward those rewards through dining alone.

Members must register via the Hyatt mobile app before December 18, 2026, to begin earning Tier-Qualifying Night credits through eligible dining spend. Hyatt said: "Please allow two to three weeks for the Tier Qualifying Night credits to be posted to your World of Hyatt account."
