The IHG One Rewards Credit Card is a no-annual-fee personal card from Chase and IHG. It offers a welcome bonus of 125,000 IHG One Rewards bonus points after spending $2,000 within the first three months.
This rebranded version of the former IHG Traveler Card charges no annual fee for the primary cardmember or any authorized users. It also has no foreign transaction fees. Insurance protections include trip cancellation and interruption coverage, reimbursing up to $5,000 per covered traveler and $10,000 per trip for pre-paid, non-refundable travel expenses. Purchase protection covers new purchases for 120 days against damage or theft, up to $500 per claim and $50,000 per account.
Welcome bonus and earning structure
New cardmembers can earn 125,000 bonus points after spending $2,000 in the first three months. This welcome bonus offer is valid for applications through November 18, 2026. With IHG One Rewards points valued at 0.5 cents each, the bonus is worth approximately $625.
The card earns 3x IHG points per dollar spent on dining, grocery stores, and gas stations globally, with no spending caps. All other purchases earn 1x point per dollar.
Elite status and night credits
Cardholders receive automatic IHG One Rewards Silver elite status for as long as they hold the card. Silver status normally requires 10 elite nights per year and offers a 20% points bonus on stays.
Spending $15,000 on the card in a calendar year upgrades the cardmember to IHG One Rewards Gold status. Gold status typically requires 20 elite nights and provides a 40% points bonus.
The card provides elite night credits to help reach these tiers and unlock further Milestone Rewards. The structure is as follows:

Milestone Rewards, earned every 10 elite nights from 20 to 100 nights, can include bonus points, food and beverage rewards, confirmed suite upgrades, and club lounge access.
Additional perks and redemptions
A key redemption benefit allows members to get the fourth night free on award stays. "As of 2027, the IHG One Rewards Card offers a fourth night free on award redemptions, but it’s tied to spending," the author said. Spending $5,000 on the card in a calendar year unlocks a fourth night free on point redemptions for the remainder of that year and the following year.
Cardholders save 30% on the cost of buying IHG One Rewards points. Points normally sell for 1 cent each, but the program often runs 100% bonus sales, bringing the effective cost down to 0.5 cents per point.
The card includes several statement credit offers valid through December 31, 2027. These are a complimentary DoorDash DashPass for one year (up to $120 value), up to $10 off monthly on DoorDash non-restaurant orders for enrolled DashPass members, and up to $120 in annual Instacart credits ($10 monthly). Cardholders also get a complimentary Instacart+ membership for three months, followed by automatic enrollment at 25% off the annual rate.
Eligibility for the welcome bonus requires that the applicant has not received a new cardmember bonus on any personal IHG One Rewards Credit Card within the last 24 months. This rule is unrelated to holding the IHG One Rewards Business Credit Card. Chase may use a pop-up feature during application to indicate bonus eligibility before a hard credit pull. Product changes between cards are permitted after holding a card for at least 12 months. An additional 10,000 bonus IHG points are awarded for spending at least $15,000 per calendar year.
