SeatSpy Expands Avios Reward Seat Tracking with New Filters

SeatSpy has added new search filters for British Airways Club Suite availability and Aer Lingus non-stop routes.

SeatSpy has added new search filters for British Airways Club Suite availability and Aer Lingus non-stop routes

SeatSpy has introduced new filtering options for British Airways Club Suite availability and voucher-enhanced business class inventory. The reward seat notification website, which tracks Avios reward flight availability, now allows its First Class subscribers to view and set alerts for the additional business class reward seats unlocked by the British Airways American Express Premium Plus Companion Voucher.

SeatSpy added the ability to filter British Airways searches by Club Suite availability, a feature available to Premium and First Class subscribers. British Airways releases a fixed number of Avios reward seats 355 days before departure on most flights. Long-haul routes get 14 guaranteed seats, while short-haul routes get 12. However, the airline offers far more reward seats to its On Business members than to standard Avios users, even on peak routes. On Business points have no resale value to British Airways, yet availability remains higher.

The British Airways American Express Premium Plus Card's 2-4-1 Companion Voucher unlocks additional long-haul business class reward seat availability not accessible with the free American Express card. SeatSpy provides three search options for this: 'Include' shows all business class seats including voucher-enhanced availability, 'Exclude' removes voucher-enhanced availability, and 'Only' displays only flights with voucher-enhanced availability. This voucher-related inventory feature is limited to SeatSpy First Class subscribers. Additional seats are not guaranteed in premium cabins.

Aer Lingus Reward Search Expansion

SeatSpy now supports searching for Aer Lingus reward seats, making it the tenth airline available on the platform. The tool added full Aer Lingus reward search functionality, but it is limited to non-stop Dublin and Shannon routes. Economy and business class are available on Aer Lingus. Searches are limited to nonstop flights to or from Dublin or Shannon, with no connecting itinerary support. Aer Lingus travelers must arrange their own connections for journeys beyond those gateways.

Aer Lingus provides Starlink high-speed Wi-Fi on all its US flights and is about to launch a new business class seat. SeatSpy does not construct connecting itineraries for any airline.

Subscription Features and Alerts

SeatSpy offers tiered subscription plans with email and message alerts for reward seat availability across multiple airlines. The service offers a 14-day free trial to access all features, including flight alerts. Subscriptions with monthly or annual fees cover multiple airlines including British Airways and Virgin Atlantic. SeatSpy allows users to set alerts via email or message for seat availability on specific routes, classes, and dates.

For British Airways elite members, Gold status includes lounge and booking perks. Gold members earn extra Avios and get seat selection, baggage, and lounge benefits. At Heathrow Terminal 5, Gold members can use the First Wing. They also gain extra economy reward-seat availability, meaning BA Gold cardholders access more economy class reward seats than standard members. Gold Priority Rewards allow booking any seat still on sale for twice the standard Avios cost. Oneworld Emerald status does not unlock this benefit despite other parity perks. Some travelers find that booking via a call center may secure seats faster than online. SeatSpy First Class subscribers can now view enhanced business class availability unlocked by British Airways Companion Vouchers.
